Journalist Michael Hastings Dies in Fiery Crash / Hollywood RAW FOOTAGE

Some of you may not know Michael Hastings personally, I don't know him either. But since I read his book "I Lost My Love in Baghdad: a Modern War Story", a story about the lost of his fiancee in Baghdad a year before the book was released, I felt him. I felt his grieve, his sadness, I also felt his brave, his fearless and his intelligence. 

My respect on him just went up after I read his article in Rolling Stone, "the Runaway General". The first thing came to my mind after I read that was "damn, this man is fucking awesome, but he is fucking messed up too. He gotta watch his back!". FYI, that article led to the resignation of General Stanley McChrystal, the head General of U.S.A Operation in Afghanistan.

I assume that Mr. Hastings' life would be full of terror afterward. 

But again, he wowed  me when he finally released the book based on the article "The Operator". He once again showed me that he was a fearless and brave journalist/writer/reporter.

He was a smart ones, very few people like him. He wouldn't stay quiet and stand forward for what he believed.He was sometimes invited by the mainstreams news for a talk show or a debate.

It shocked me when I read about he killed in a fiery crash in Hollywood, I kept following the accident story ever since. The more I read the news, watch the witness' videos, the more I believe that it wasn't an accident at all, he was assassinated. I can't tell by who, but I can tell why he was murdered. 

Hours before the car crash, he sent a panicked email to his colleagues about being investigated by FBI and was going staying low and need to go off the radar. He was also contacted the Wikileaks' lawyer, Jennifer Robinson, just a few hours before his crash.

He was murdered because before his death he was working on a story about Drone Surveillance in the US and it's speculated that he was researching Jill Kelley case, a story about privacy lawsuit by Florida socialite against the Department of Defense and the FBI. Jill Kelley alleges that military officials and the FBI leaked her name to the media to discredit her after she reported receiving a stream of emails that were traced to Paula Broadwell, a biographer of former CIA director, David H. Petraus.

Well, I'm not a conspiracy theorist, I am just a realist. Maybe he was chasing by the feds that morning or maybe the crash caused by a bomb. Everything is possible. Michael Hastings was always be the government's enemy.

Between Heaven and Hell

Sejak kecil kita selalu diajarkan untuk berbuat baik, berkata baik dan berkelakuan baik, dan hampir di semua agama pun kebaikan selalu menajdi yang utama. 

Orang baik masuk surga, orang tidak baik ke neraka.

Sederhana,tapi siapa bilang mudah.

Ada orang yang berniat baik membantu teman yang minta tolong, tapi akhirnya dia mendapat masalah mulai dari sekian uang yang dipinjam seorang teman itu tidak dikembalikan, terbawa-bawa hingga ke kantor polisi, diter dsb dst...

Ada orang lain lagi yang mencoba berbuat baik dengan merawat sepasang anak kembar yang ditelantarkan orang tua kandungnya. Tapi apa daya, ibu kandung anak tersebut ternyata memanfaatkan anak-anaknya untuk meminta sejumlah uang perawatan dari si mantan suami.   

Singkat cerita, karena alasan apa. si Ibu kandung ini mengambil paksa anak kembarnya setelah 3 tahun ditelantarkan. Orang baik ini, belajar dari pengalaman di mana setelah anak2 lucu ini "dipinjam" ibu kandungnya, mereka selalu dikembalikan dalam kondisi kurus, sakit dan tidak terawat, akhirnya memutuskan untuk menjemput anak2 tersebut. Tapi apa daya, yang dikembalikan hanya satu, sedangkan satu lainnya dibawa kabur oleh si ibu kandung. 

Lain cerita, ada orang yang entah kenapa selalu saja iri jika rekan kerjanya mendapat proyek, honor atau pekerjaan yang lebih besar. Orang ini dengan segala cara, berusaha agar rekan kerjanya tidak mendapat lebih banyak darinya, bahkan honor rekannya pun diambil oleh dia.

Orang ini hampir sama tamaknya dengan si ibu kandung tadi, dan sekarang hidup mereka berkecukupan dengan uang, Tapi apa itu cukup?

Mungkin bagi mereka, uang sama berharganya dengan surga. Mereka tidak peduli dengan neraka, well they have their heaven on earth.

Sedangkan dua orang baik tadi, hidup mereka sekarang mungkin serasa seperti di neraka.. Kekurangan uang, masalah yang tidak ada habis-habisnya dll. Tapi selama mereka bersabar, they'll find their eternal heaven at the end.
